Steph & Ben are a gorgeous San Diego couple who booked me to shoot their engagement session at Balboa Park. We met at golden hour and I couldn't have asked for a better setting and couple to work with. If you haven't been to the far end of the park, you really must. Marston House Museum & Gardens is a historic house in a beautiful woodsy setting that you don't see often in San Diego. There's also a quaint set of stairs that made a perfect shot location. Steph wore a gorgeous white lace Free People dress with ankle boots while Ben stayed classic in a blue button down and khaki pants. I loved the boho vibe and thought it fit their relaxed nature so well!
After a quick outfit change, we headed over to the park area to get some shots with the iconic Museum of Man Tower in the background. Steph went for a cute, all-American look in a sleeveless button-down paired with a polka dot skirt and Converse sneakers. Ben opted for a neutral-toned sweater and pant combo, perfect for the setting. One of the best tips I can offer to couples when choosing outfits for an engagement shoot is to go with neutral, non-distracting colors. White, beige, light blue, and grey all photography wonderfully and result in stunning images. Always feel free to ask your photographer what they suggest. Sometimes a certain color palette might work better with the location you're shooting at! Bringing an outfit change is always a great idea too so you are bound to end up with a look you love.
